Raleigh Rolls Out The "Blue" Carpet
Raleigh rolls out the "blue" carpet in preparation for September’s World of Bluegrass. • While the World of Bluegrass is still five months away, the Greater Raleigh hospitality community, City of Raleigh, numerous event venues and performing arts organizations are not waiting to share their enthusiasm.
In preparation for the September 24-28, 2013, World of Bluegrass Week, more than 165 members of the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) community, including the organization’s Board of Directors will travel to Raleigh this weekend, April 12-14, to experience many of the sights and venues that will play a key role during the week-long convention, International Bluegrass Music Awards show and Wide Open Bluegrass Fan Fest.
World of Bluegrass is the annual industry summit/bluegrass family reunion drawing fans, artists and music industry professionals from around the world for the week-long event. World of Bluegrass provides opportunities for showcasing, professional development and networking at the largest concentrated week of powerful, live bluegrass music on the planet.
