The North Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association • The purpose and mission of NCRLA is to protect, promote, inform and improve the restaurant and lodging industries in North Carolina. NCRLA is governed by a board of directors, composed of restaurateurs, lodging operators, foodservice professionals and industry suppliers. Day-to-day activities are handled by the association’s full-time staff, which directs membership marketing and communications, and provides service and support to members.
About NCRLA • From its beginnings in 1947 at the O. Henry Hotel in Greensboro, the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association has evolved into the one of the largest and most influential trade associations in the state.
Today, NCRLA is the voice of North Carolina’s $17.5 billion restaurant and lodging industries, representing the interests of more than 16,000 businesses throughout the state. Member businesses employ 10 percent of North Carolina’s workforce, and are among the largest private employment sectors in the state.

NCRLA Lobbies the state General Assembly and regulatory agencies to safeguard the interests of its members, protecting their business interests while ensuring the safety, health and enjoyment of the dining and lodging public. In addition, we provide a host of products and services– from discount training programs to group health insurance – that help our members stay ahead of the game.
