"Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch & Dinner" • Below you will find the options, days, times, menus and pricing for breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner at our award-winning restaurant Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn.

Our restaurant, Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn, is open to the public six days a week. Inn guests, local diners, traveling diners, and their guests, are equally welcome at Simplicity. Reservations recommended but not required. Walk-ins welcome. Reservations 828.963.5857. The Mast Farm Inn is an award-winning historic country inn & restaurant in the Valle Crucis Historical District of North Carolina, which has been welcoming guests since the 1800s. The Mast Farm Inn is a Historic Hotels of America hotel, a Select Registry Inn, and is on The National Register of Historic Places.

Breakfast • Breakfast is served every day from 8:30 to 10:00. While Inn guests and local diners are equally welcome, the Inn, hence breakfast is often fully booked so local diners, traveling diners, and their guests do require reservations. Reservations are not required for Brunch, Lunch or Dinner as described below but are recommended. If you are not an Inn guest and would like to have breakfast at the Inn, please call for the day’s menu and pricing, and reserve by calling 828.963.5857. Guests enjoy a hearty two-course country gourmet breakfast each morning at the Inn at private tables. Brunch • Served every Sunday, Between 11:30AM-2:30PM. Inn guests and local diners are equally welcome at "Brunch at Simplicity’s". Lunch • The Farmer’s Lunch at Simplicity. Inn guests, local diners, traveling diners, and their guests, are equally welcome. Reservations recommended but not required. Walk-ins welcome. A daily chef’s tasting of North Carolina artisan cured meats and cheeses, with locally baked bread, pickled vegetables, condiments and preserves, our special herb butter and homemade mustard, accompanied by a cup of homemade soup, and a very special little treat. Enjoy lunch with a glass of red or white wine or a North Carolina craft beer in the dining room, on our porch, by the pond, or in the garden. Served Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30am – 2:00pm, with a set menu which features North Carolina artisan specialty food producers, at a fixed price of $15 per person, with wine & beer at $5. "When you first see the newest release from The Moore Brothers Band, Pick It Brother, a first glance will have your mind processing a picture of three young men, all less than "legal age", with bluegrass instruments. Your initial impression may be of just three kids, but once you rip off the cellophane and pop it in the player, you’ll know this CD holds talent well beyond the years of the three young men on the cover." ~ LocalGrass

The Moore Brothers Band had their 1st stage performance in 2007. From the beginning, you could hear the “Old Soul” feeling in their music. Since that 1st performance, they have evolved into crowd pleasing entertainers, became multi-instrumentalist and embraced brother harmony. You will see Isaac bending the strings on his guitar, singing from the soul and engaging the crowd. Jacob will be singing harmony and improvising on his fiddle, mandolin, banjo or guitar.

With the addition of Daniel Perry on the doghouse bass and vocals, their high energy drive and harmonies have reached another level. The synergy or unspoken language of music between Jacob, Isaac and Daniel is only totally experienced in a live show. You will hear many musical influences throughout their shows including blues, gospel, bluegrass, jazz & even swing.

Daniel, Jacob and Isaac are all participants of the Kids on Bluegrass Program by the International Bluegrass Music Association. In fact, they all met in Nashville at IBMA’s World of Bluegrass Meeting. They have played at the Red, White and Bluegrass Festival, Graves Mountain Music Festival, MACC, MerleFest, Dollywood, IBMA’S WOB, featured in a Pam Tillis video, CMA Awards after party and the Station Inn in Nashville to name a few, plus countless shows across their native North Carolina. The Moore Brothers Band performs about 70 shows a year throughout the Southeast. In the short time they’ve been together they’ve recorded two CDs. The latest CD project “Pick It Brother”, recorded on Music Row in Nashville, is now available for purchase at www.moorebrothersband.com or CD Baby. The CD has special guests Kristin Scott Benson on banjo and Dave Fowler on bass.

Jacob Moore • Jacob began pursuing his musical interest with classical violin training at the Suzuki School of the Arts, when he was seven years old. After two years, he decided to dive into bluegrass and began fiddle lessons from Roger Ledford. He is currently taking lessons from Alan Johnson (“Big Al”), formerly with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and is playing a fiddle built by our friend, Lebron Batey.

Shortly after starting the violin, he also chose to play the mandolin. Ben Cockman, of the Cockman Family Band, got Jacob started at the age of eight. At the age of ten, he began lessons with Wayne Benson of IIIrd Tyme Out. Jacob was the Junior Mandolin Champion in the youth division at Fiddler’s Grove at the age of 9 years old. At age 10, he won Most Promising Talent division of the Mooresville 67th Old Time Fiddler’s and Bluegrass Convention. At age 11, he won first place in the Burke County Youth Talent Showcase. He also enjoys playing the guitar, electric Fender Stratocaster guitar and bass. He sings tenor and lead in the band. Jacob enjoys recording and mixing his own music. He also likes to play baseball, basketball, golf, fish, hunt, and of course spend a few minutes on PlayStation. Musical Influences: Wayne Benson, Ricky Skaggs, Alan Johnson, Vassar Clements, Michael Cleveland, Jesse Brock, Alan Bibey, Jim Van Cleve, Adam Steffey, Chubby Wise, Jimmy Martin, Cody Kilby, Mike Riddle, Chris Thile, Aubrey Haynie, Kenny Baker, Bill Monroe, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd & James Taylor.

Isaac Moore • Isaac started singing on stage with his brother at the age of four. He got his first black mandolin for his sixth birthday. His dad and brother have been getting him started.

He recently enrolled in classical guitar instructions at the Suzuki School of the Arts. Almost everywhere that he performs, someone refers to him as “Little Elvis”. Isaac feels the music and enjoys entertaining the crowd. We are never sure what he will decide to do on stage next! Isaac, along with his brother, won first place in the Burke County Youth Talent Showcase. Musical Influences: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Ricky Skaggs, Sam Bush, Little Roy Lewis, Bobby Osborne, Tony Rice, Mountain Heart, Clay Jones, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, & Alan Jackson.

Generation Bluegrass is a documentary introducing some of the most talented up and coming young bluegrass musicians in the country. This video features footage of the Snyder Family Band, The Church Sisters, The Moore Brothers, and The Smith Family Band. Also featured are hot jam sessions featuring members of these bands as well as several other young bluegrass musicians. Jacob Burleson, son of Jason Burleson of Blue Highway, Daniel Perry, bass player for The Moore Brothers Band, and Alex & Shane Edwards of the Edwards Family Band. Hold on to your hats for some hot pickin!

Most folks are taken aback when they first see Jacob (mandolin, banjo, and fiddle, 14), Daniel (bass, 18) and Isaac (guitar, 10). Don’t let their fresh faces fool you; this trio means business. Together, they weave a musical tapestry that honors tradition and welcomes progress… melding a love of tone and harmonies with a fiery stage energy that wins over even the most jaded listeners, while keeping music lovers on the edge of their seat.

Old-fashioned entertainment aplenty. Take in a rowdy 1800s saloon show, complete with vivacious Can-Can girls. Enjoy regional entertainment with toe-tappin’ music and mountain dancing from the famous Tweetsie Cloggers! Take a whirl on the rides at the Country Fair. Then zoom up the chair lift to Miner’s Mountain. You can enjoy goodies throughout the park, from complete meals to snacks to the famous Tweetsie fudge. You’ll find the fun and unique shops at Tweetsie Railroad carry a great selection of souvenirs, crafts, toys, apparel and much more.

Tweetsie Railroad allows children and families to let their imaginations run wild and discover all sorts of fun. Kids can be a cowboy … an Indian … or an engineer. Families love riding on our famous steam engine, Number 12. She’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Just looking at her is enough to take you back. Hop on board Tweetsie’s Wild West Adventure, on a train pulled by one of our historic coal-fired steam locomotives. It’s a trip back in time complete with Cowboys, train robbers and marauding renegades stirring up trouble. You never know what might happen! Ride it as many times as you want! A Day of Adventure. Don’t go thinking that the only thing to do ‘round here is the train ride. Stroll down the Western Main Street and visit the hoosegow (that’s a jail for you city-folk) where all the no-good varmints do hard time. Take a spin on the rides in the Country Fair and on Miner’s Mountain. Take aim at the Arcade and Shooting Gallery. When you get to Miner’s Mountain, check out the friendly animals at the Deer Park, stretch your legs on the playground or get your face painted. Celebrate America’s Stars and Stripes • Courtesy of the red, white and blue, Tweetsie invites guests to North Carolina’s first theme park. This American icon, which opened July 4, 1957, will light up the Blue Ridge Mountain sky during its annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. With the park open until 9:00 p.m. on July 4, guests will enjoy entertainment and rides on Tweetsie’s famed steam locomotives into the early evening.
