Beech Mountain Sledding • During the winter months, the Town of Beech Mountain, located about 35 minutes from the Inn, offers a free public sledding hill for kids of all ages. With snow making capabilities, the hill is open all winter for your enjoyment. The sledding hill is located adjacent to Town Hall on Beech Mountain.
Children 12 and under can enjoy the free sledding hill, located next to the Beech Mountain Chamber of Commerce and Town Hall. The hill is outfitted with its own snowmaking machines, keeping it alive with activity throughout the winter. The season is from November through Mid March , weather permitting. Located in North Western North Carolina near the North Carolina – Tennessee state line. The Town is situated on the Watauga/Avery County Line at the end of NC 184. NC 184, also known as The Beech Mountain Parkway, is the main road into the town from Banner Elk.
